Some music files won't open?

Ok, so I hae the Sims 2, and I know how to add your own music to radio stations and stuff, but now when I go to My Documents > EA Games > The Sims 2 > Music and then folders show up to say the radio genre (pop, rock, etc.) but when I click on any of them it goes to another page that says Settings with a black logo to the left like its a folder, so I click it but then it says Choose the Program you want to open this file, but theres nothing that can open it right, and theres no option to open it as a folder. How do i open it?
