Would you go to jail if you were getting attacked and you shot the person?

It will depend on the evidence, but if it's self defence hopefully not. If they came at you with a knife and you shot them, then it was your life or theirs. But it would be dependent on the circumstances? Why? Do you plan on doing this? Hehe :)
