What to do if my boyfriend is always busy?

ok so my boyfriend and i hae been going out for a year and half. we have had lots of up and downs. but for the past few months he seems to be more busy then ever. he says that his grandparents give him lots of work to do so he can never talk, but he always has time to hang out with friends and mess around and be a boy. but whenever he is with his friends, he says he can never talk, but when im with my friends, i can text him back right away. i always make time to text or call him but i dont think he is doing the same for me. its frustrating that i seem to cae more about talking to him then he does with me. what should i do? i love him but i wish he can comunicate with me more. and also he loves hos video games so much that one day he didnt text me the whole day because he was stuck on video games!!! help!!
